Entry Requirements

It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit to the Mombasa Polytechnic University College valid testimonial and certificates such as School, Diploma, Degree or Postgraduate certificates prior to the commencement of classes, where required.

An applicant shall NOT be admitted to any programme within the University College without satisfying the minimum entry requirement of the University.

Students must also satisfy faculty and departmental requirements before registering for courses in any department.

Diploma Programmes

Candidates must have a minimum qualification of Kenya Certificate of secondary Education (K.C.S.E) and achieved a minimum grade of C plain. The minimum entry qualification for the subject cluster shall be determined by the respective faculties.

Candidate with a Division Three of the Kenya Certificate of Education (K.C.E) or equivalent may be admitted at the discretion of the department.

Candidates who hold at least a Certificate in the relevant field from a recognized institution will be considered.

Equivalent qualifications from other countries as shall be determined by the Academic Board.
