Introduction
This course is designed to develop skills, which will be responsive and relevant to the countries human resources, required at middle level. To prepare the trainees so that they can enter the job market with confidence for either salaried employment or self-employment. It will impart adequate skills which will enable the trainee to operate or perform supervisory functions.
Course Objectives
b) Understand current and future environmental concerns from a consumer perspectives
c) Define the major sources and types of environmental agents
d) Identify the carriers or vectors that promote the transfer of these agents from the environment to the human.
e) Identify and define the steps in the regulatory process terms of risk, assessment and risk management.
f) Acquire knowledge on environmental health planning and management
g) Carryout health project monitoring implementation and evaluation
h) Demonstrate attitudes that enhance positive contribution to community health development activities.
Entry Requirements
KCSE Mean Grade C- (Minus) with D+ (minus) in Chemistry, Biology, English or Kiswahili; a pass in Physics, or Maths
