Note from the Chairman

The department became fully fledged in 1972. It Then started offering certificate courses in Electrical Power, Electronics, Telecommunication and later Industrial measurements and control Engineering. In 1979 the first Higher diploma program was mounted. The department has grown over the years and courses expanded.

Currently it offers Five certificate programs, Five Advanced certificate programs, Eight Diploma programs, Six Higher National Diploma programs, and One degree programs Our Programs are highly competitive both at local and international Level. Enrollment has grown steadily to about 1000 students, 10% of whom are female.
