Note from the Chairman

This is one of the youngest academic department in the faculty of Applied and Health Sciences
Currently the department offers training in three key areas i.e

1. Environmental Science
2. Environmental and Health Sciences
3. Community Health and HIV management

All this programs are currently being offered at Diploma level. However plans are underway to launch degree programs soon

The Environmental science course is aimed developing a knowledge base on the biological and physical environment leading to exploration of human dependence on technological control over, and interactions with the envirnment. emphasis is placed on sustaining resources and making informed choices concerning environmental issues
